Report: Baby covered in rodent bites bled to death
Jul 22nd, 2009 | WESTWEGO, La. — A 3-month-old suburban New Orleans girl whose body was covered with rodent bites bled to death before she was found in her crib, according to an autopsy released Wednesday.
Westwego Police Chief Dwayne Munch said Natalie Hill had severe wounds on her nose and leg along with more than 100 suspected rat bites when her parents found her body last Thursday in her crib, which was stained with bloody rodent footprints.
The cause of death was preliminary and more tests were planned, said Elizabeth Evans, an investigator for the Jefferson Parish coroner’s office.
The chief said the autopsy results “tell us what we had suspected already.”
“We were all hoping that we were wrong. It’s just horrifying to think of the baby being bitten and all this trauma happening while she was alive,” he said.
No charges have been filed, but Munch said police are still investigating.
The child’s parents told police the girl was fine when her mother fed her several hours before her body was discovered. When police arrived at the house, the girl’s father was in the front yard shouting that his baby was dead.
Investigators are awaiting the results of drug and alcohol tests that the parents submitted to last week, the chief said.
“It’s just to make sure we cover all the bases,” Munch said of the tests. “If we find neglect, we’ll pursue charges … It’s too early to tell right now.”
Munch had said earlier that the girl’s parents had set traps out for rodents.
In Ohio, three people have been accused of letting rats bite a 6-week-old girl and chew off several of her toes at a cluttered mobile home. The girl was reported in fair condition at a Columbus hospital after losing the toes on one foot.

New Video Game: Shoot Gays Before They Rape You
Wow. Just wow.
Stéphane Aguie has created a game called “Watch out behind you, Hunter.” As the name might imply, the object is to shoot gay men who pop out of the bushes before they “rape” the player.
Sounds like a barrel of laughs, right?
The game is hosted on Georgian website called Uzinagaz and has European LGBT rights groups, including Gay Armenia, raging. The game has been even been banned in France, but not in Georgia or in the United Kingdom. The game has, of course, spread online to American gamer sites. A quick google search turns up the game on numerous flash gamer sites.
The owner of the site doesn’t see the big deal about the game, calling it just a “bit of fun”:
I really didn’t understand why the association was attacking us. The guy who came up with the game, Stéphane Aguie, wanted to mock hunters and rednecks, not gay men.
Get it? It makes fun of the people shooting gays- not the gays themselves! What a knee slapper!

my state is going through the worst drought in its history
just to let you know, Austin itself has been breaking numerous records within the past month with consecutive three digit weather and absolutely no rain. this is just one of the effects:
No rain, no grazing and no grass. These cattle are living on hay and tubs full of mineral and molasses.
“It forces them to eat dry grass,” said Bennie Bock.
Bennie Bock remembers the last time his ranch saw rain.
“March the 20th,” he said.
Bock has a cattle ranch south of Austin near Lockhart, and is suffering from one of the worst droughts on record.
“We have no water. There was a tank here that was 10 feet deep in November, it’s dry now,” said Bock.
According to the U.S. drought monitor, drought conditions in central and south Texas are now listed as “exceptional” — its most severe rating . And the forecast for the next three months is far below average rainfall. Texas Governor Rick Perry has asked for disaster relief assistance for drought-stricken farmers across the state.
The drought is taking its toll on cattle ranchers. Bock is down to a third of the cows he normally has. As the number one cattle producing state in the country Texas stands to lose billions.

White men were 100% of the people that wrote the Constitution, 100% of the people that signed the Declaration of Independence, 100% of the people who died at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, probably close to 100% of the people who died at Normandy. This has been a country built basically by white folks, who were 90% of the nation in 1960 when I was growing up and the other 10% were African-Americans who had been discriminated against. That’s why.

Predators are free to move about the cabin
The mother cried, too, even before she learned that her daughter had allegedly been molested by a man seated next to her on the plane. The man, a widely known pastor from Uganda, has thousands of worshippers in churches he built across Africa, in addition to a radio station, ties to American politicians and spiritual leaders (Pat Robertson included), and an orphanage in Uganda where 1,000 abandoned children reside.
Since the incident, the daughter has had to tell her story again and again. To flight attendants. Her mother. The Alameda County sheriff’s deputies. The FBI. Although the deputies and special agents all found the girl’s story credible, and the pastor’s considerably less so, the U.S. Attorney’s office opted not to bring charges.
